Jim Ferrell

Jim Ferrell is the President/CEO of Jackson Energy Authority.  Prior to that he served as JEA’s Chief Operating Officer and the Senior Vice President of JEA's Electric Division. In addition, Mr. Ferrell has served the company as Project Engineer, Electric System Engineer, Supervisor of Operations and Vice President of Operations. 

Mr. Ferrell is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B. S. in Electrical Engineering and earned his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee and a Water/Wastewater Plant Certified Operator. He serves as President and Chair of the Board of Directors of The Tennergy Corporation, Tennergy Services Corporation, Venale Corporation and the Western District Energy Corporation. He also serves on multiple civil-affiliated and industry-related boards.

Mr. Ferrell currently serves on various committees of the American Public Power Association, the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association and the Western District Managers Association. Additionally, he is a member of numerous industry affiliations including the Tennessee Gas Association, Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, Tennessee Municipal Electric Power Association and American Public Power Association.

Aletza Boucher

Mrs. Boucher has served as Secretary of Tennergy since February of 2013, in addition to her position as Corporate Secretary of Jackson Energy Authority (JEA) and Secretary to JEA's Board of Directors. She began her career at JEA in Human Resources in 2011. Previously, she worked as an Administrative Assistant to the President of Lambuth University and in Retail Sales Management at Talbot's. She also spent 12 years in the manufacturing industry as a Product Manager and Inside Sales Manager at Consolidated Aluminum/Ormet Aluminum.

Mrs. Boucher graduated from The University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned her Master of Business Administration from Union University.

Nancy R. Nanney

Mrs. Nanney has served as Treasurer of Tennergy since October of 2014, in addition to her position as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Jackson Energy Authority (JEA.) Prior to her current position with JEA, she served as Tennergy’s Vice President and CFO, responsible for financial reporting and various financial services. Prior to August 2002, Mrs. Nanney worked with the Jackson Energy Authority as the Finance Manager, where her responsibilities included budget development, long-range financial planning, and cost studies.

Mrs. Nanney has served in the utility industry for over 30 years filling various levels of responsibility including Financial Analyst, Manager of Finance and Accounting and field accountant.

Mrs. Nanney is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  She also received her M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.

Richard S. Clark, PE
Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Clark joined The Tennergy Corporation in 2000 as a Project Manager, responsible for developing, designing and managing natural gas related projects including system expansions, relocations, and Meter and Regulation Stations. In addition to construction projects, Mr. Clark has been directly involved with regulatory compliance issues, natural gas system load models, and GIS projects. In March 2005, Mr. Clark was promoted to Vice President, given additional organizational and administrative duties which require natural gas engineering proficiency in order to advance Tennergy as an authority in natural gas engineering. From 1996 until 2000, Mr. Clark was a Project Engineer for H + M Architects/ Engineers and James + Associates, Inc. responsible primarily for utility design projects as well as general civil engineering projects. From 1991 until 1996, Mr. Clark worked as a Natural Gas Safety Engineer with the Tennessee Regulatory Authority charged with regulatory compliance audits for natural gas operators in Tennessee. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky.

Mechele Williams
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Williams has served as Tennergy’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2007. She is responsible for financial reporting, budget development, long-range financial planning, and risk management. Prior to joining Tennergy, Mrs. Williams worked with Jackson Energy Authority and served in various capacities including Vice President of Internal Control from 2003 until 2007, Vice President of Finance from 1997 until 2003, and Financial Analyst from 1993 until 1997. Prior to her utility career, she worked as a consumer lender with First American Bank. Mrs. Williams is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She received her M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.
