The Tennergy Corporation
Tennergy was established in 1998 as a joint venture formed by the utility systems of Jackson Energy Authority, Humboldt Utilities, and Brownsville Energy Authority. Created under Tennessee state law as an energy acquisition corporation, Tennergy is committed to delivering reliable, competitively priced natural gas to municipal utilities and public utility districts across the region. Our core purpose is to purchase and resale natural gas in ways that strengthen local utility systems and benefit the communities they serve. A key part of this initiative includes structuring natural gas prepayment projects that enable public gas systems to receive discounted monthly gas pricing to help them manage costs more effectively and provide long-term value to their customers.
